again for Big game developersas they  try to capture more money from their succesful games and squeezed it as much as possible. IT safe to say this 2012, though will have big sequel games, will still lack creativity that 2010 had offered.  Most big games are sequel of original games that were develop 5-10 years ago.  I really hope that 2013 will see more original and creative games coming from Big Game Developers. Heck , mine craft is amazing when you talk about creative gaming. 

Prototype 2

You have this open world right at your fingertips, then you have this guy that has tons of powers and abilities, add up thousands of people walking around, and you got yourself a world to put your chaos around. With Prototype getting big sales for Radical Entertainment in 2009, it was a no brainer that the producers wanted more.

"When PROTOTYPE surpassed 2MM units we knew gamers would want a sequel to find out what happens next with Alex Mercer," said Ken Rosman, Studio Head, Radical Entertainment. "The team here at Radical is sincerely grateful to the fans and we are laser focused on delivering an even bigger and better experience with PROTOTYPE 2!"

Prototype 2 tries to continue where it has left off, following Mercer as he attempts to piece together his life after waking up in a morgue with no memories and a strange set of shape shifting abilities that allowed him to consume people to gain their memories. How exactly Mercer fits into the new game, and why Heller blames him for his condition, are both unclear.

Prototype 2 will be released for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 sometime in 2012.

Warhammer 40k Dark Millennium

THQ and Vigil Games promised to "fully reveal" the Warhammer 40k MMO at E3, and they're standing by that promise. Our first peek at this revelation comes in the form of a brand new trailer, as well as the game's title.

The trailer for Warhammer 40k: Dark Millennium Online gives us the backstory: demons, aliens and heretics versus man. We get our first look at gameplay as well as the trailer pans through several different battlegrounds. 

The trailer comes at the same time as a site redesign for Vigil Games, which brings a heavy focus on this highly anticipated game. MO shooters have not been faring well over the past year – with games like APB going offline within the first 3 months and is now coming back as a free to play MMO. But Vigil does have some RPG experience behind them with games like Darksiders. And if it fairs better than its predecessor Warhammer Online it could even be a Wow beater.

God of War 4

God of War is a series of action-adventure video games based on Greek mythology.

The central character is Kratos, a Spartan warrior eventually revealed to be a demigod. The success of the first game, God of War has allowed for the development of five additional games, with each chapter forming part of a saga with vengeance as a central theme. Right now God of War 4 is in development and will be released in September 2012, according to respected unofficial PlayStation mag, PSM3. Last month a CV appeared online referencing a "God of War 4 cinematic test" and although the animator in question has since claimed this has nothing to do with Sony's flagship series, in its latest issue, PSM3 says it's learnt more...

While last year's God of War 3 concluded a trilogy, Santa Monica Studio has said it's "not the end" for the hugely popular PlayStation franchise. Though there is still not much information about this game. We expect this to be one of the most anticipated ones this 2012. Who wouldn’t want to be Kratos?

Halo 4

Wow, and I thought 3 was a lot, but another trilogy for Master Chief? For Xbox 360 users, no words are sweeter than hearing that “Halo 4 is coming this 2012 “. Officially announced by Microsoft last June and as reported by IGN. Master Chief is set to embarked on another adventure almost 5 years after Halo 3 was delivered to gamers all over the world

Set in the aftermath of Halo 3, Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Halo 4 marks the start of a new trilogy that begins with its release in 2012.

You would think that after three games Master Chief finally realizes he has a jetpack?

BioShock: Infinite

BioShock Infinite is an upcoming first-person shooter video game, and the third game in the BioShock series. Previously known as "Project Icarus", it is being developed by Irrational Games for a 2012 release on the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation

3and Xbox 360 platforms. BioShock Infinite is not a direct sequel or prequel to previous BioShock games, taking place in an earlier period and different setting, though it features similar gameplay concepts and themes. The player controls a former Pinkerton agent, Booker DeWitt, as he attempts to rescue a woman trapped aboard the collapsing air-city Columbia in 1912.

Former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt has been sent to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in Columbia since childhood. Booker develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt must learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.

Diablo 3

For all the Diablo lovers out there, it has been years of waiting since Diablo come knocking at our doorsteps and having us get our fingers injured on countless hours of clicking and slashing. Dozens of years(a little exaggerated) later Diablo 3 is coming back and ready to hit our doorsteps once again this 2012.

“We’re developing Diablo III to be the definitive action role-playing game, and a true continuation of the Diablo series.” – Blizzard

Diablo III is similar in style to its predecessor, Diablo II. The proprietary engine will incorporate Blizzard's custom in-house physics, a change from the original usage of Havok's physics engine, and feature destructible environments with an in-game damage effect. The developers are aiming to make the game run on a wide range of systems, and have stated that DirectX 10 will not be required.^[9] Diablo III will use a custom 3D game engine in order to present an overhead view to the player, in a somewhat similar way to the isometric view used in previous games in the series.Enemies will utilize the 3D environment as well, in ways such as crawling up the side of a wall from the depths into the combat area.^[5]

As in Diablo II, multiplayer games will be possible using Blizzard's Battle.net service, with many of the new features developed for StarCraft II also available inDiablo III.^[9] Players will be able to drop in and out of sessions of co-operative play with others.

The next instalment of the series features exiting new classes like the witch doctor and returning classes like the barbarian have been completely revamped. A new graphics engine also promises to display characters in a beautiful, fully 3D environment.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3

Half Life 2 Episode 3 has been long awaited by fans of the Half Life series.  Episode 2 ended on such a cliff hanger that it has just been assumed that Episode 3 would be a given.  It's always just been a matter of timing. 

First announced in 2006….I’ll just let that sink in a moment and provide enough time for you to ask, “why the hell has it taken them over 6 years to get this game out!” And let me remind you, this is no entirely new game, it’s a sequel which usually only take about 2 or 3 years.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

One of the best game ever is now ready to make a comeback and show to the gamers what Deux EX is really all about. The game takes place during the year 2027, 25 years before Deus Ex. Nanotechnological augmentations have yet to be developed

and biomechanical augmentations are the current state of the art. The main protagonist, Adam Jensen, is a private security officer with Sarif Industries, a leading company that specializes in human augmentations. After he witnesses a chilling attack on his company which leaves him horrifically injured and forced to undergo augmentation to survive, "the conspiracy begins."

In the Deus Ex games, augmentations are body modifications that allow the user superhuman abilities. While augmentations in the first two games were nanotech,Human Revolution is set prior to both and instead features mechanical augmentations. These will be divided into four types: Combat, Stealth, Technology and Social.[10] Using social skills, social augmentations and stealth a player is able to play through the whole game killing only the bosses.[11]

Every enemy squad will have an identifiable squad leader who will direct the team's actions. If the leader is killed, the squad falls into disarray. Enemies will also react to subtle player decisions, such as a change in behaviour or weapons, etc.

Modern Warfare 3

One of the hottest games in the online scene will be continued with Modern Warfare 3. The game will immediately follow the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, where Russia continues its invasion of the United States of America, and has also

expanded its offensive to Europe, including England, France and Germany. It will see the return of Task Force 141 Captain John "Soap" MacTavish, former SAS Captain John Price and Russian informant Nikolai who are on the run after killing the rogue U.S. Army Lieutenant General Shepard. Russian Ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov will also reprise as the game's primary antagonist.

Infinity Ward revealed that Modern Warfare 3 will feature a new survival mode. The new mode will feature up to two players fighting level after level of increasingly difficult enemies. Unlike other video games where enemies spawn at fixed locations, the enemies in this mode will spawn around the player so that they can approach the player from a tactically advantageous location. As players fight off enemies, they will be earning cash. More cash is earned for scoring headshots, having high accuracy and taking less damage overall. For each kill, they can use their money to purchase items such as new weapons, upgrades and ammo. Another example to earn more cash is by consecutively killing enemies quickly: killing one enemy and then another one after a prolonged time period will no longer be as rewarding as killing two enemies in quick succession. The new mode will be integrated from the game's multiplayer maps, meaning that all multiplayers maps may be played with a partner in the survival mode

StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm

StarCraft II is the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game, and the sequel to the hit original, StarCraft. The game will include three completely distinct and balanced races, the protoss, terran, and zerg, which have been overhauled and re-imagined with a number of new units for each, as well as new tricks for some of the classic units that are returning.
